The show was the culmination of months of hard work. Project coordinator Lizzie Edward said "this has been such a great project to work on. The children, the Bee's and all of the team have been fantastic and it's amazing to see it all come together today for the show!"
The project was made possible by the City Bridge Trust, whose grants support community projects in London. The float was designed by Freshwest to reflect the City Bridge Trust's concept of 'linking London communities'. The project itself also had this idea at its heart with intergenerational sessions between the school children and the Bee's playing a key part.
